Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Announces Major Relief for Low-Income Families This Ramazan

As we all know that Ramzan is a month of prayer and in this Holy month we share blessings with the people who are around us. A lot of families in Punjab cannot afford food and their kitchen often remains empty. All the Muslims keep fast during this holy month, So, Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched a new scheme and the name of this scheme is Ramzan nigahban relief package.
This scheme is for those people who find difficulty to manage their food and household budgets. And the mission of Ramzan nigahban relief package is to provide comfort to these families and the people who need it most.
What is Maryam Nawaz Ramzan package 2026?
Maryam Nawaz Ramzan package and Nigehbaan relief package both are same scheme that has been launched by the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. And the main purpose of this scheme is to assist the poor families through cash and food. In this scheme they provide relief to around 10 million people through free ration bags and cash assistant.
Cash Assistance:
In cash assistance, the people who are eligible for Ramzan Nigahen package get the amount of 10,000 rupees and it is only the one time payment. The poor people can use this payment for extra groceries and to pay electricity bills and whatever they need they can get it.
Free Ration bags:
In free ration bag, the high quality food is delivered to the poor and needy people at their doorstep. And the detail of this free ration bag is as follows:
- Atta 10kg
- 2 kg Rice
- 2 kg sugar
- 2 kg cooking oil or Ghee
- 2 kg Daal
Eligibility criteria for 2026
Chief Minister Mariam Nawaz Sharif has set some rules for the people who are eligible to make sure that the Ramzan nigehbaan package has reached the poor and needy people.
Some important rules for 2026 is given below:
1: In Ramzan Nigahen package the priority is given to the people who are daily wage labours and the people who earn less than 45000 per month. If you are a Low income labour you can also become eligible for the Ramzan Nigahen package.
2: To become eligible for the Ramzan Nigahen package, you must be a permanant resident of Punjab and you must have your original CNIC. The people who live in Kpk and the Sindh are not eligible for the Ramzan nigehbaan package. Your CNIC must be registered with nadra.
3: This Ramzan Nigehbaan package is basically launched for the most poor and the needy families of punjab. The Priority will be given to the people who are unemployed and who does not have a stable source of income. So, they can manage their food in Ramzan.
Disabled people are also become eligible for the Ramzan nigaban package. And the people who are daily wage earners like construction workers ,laborers and Street vendors are also eligible. And in this scheme the priority is given to the oprphan and widows.
4: Database registration (BISP, PSER)
The government also check the official record like if you receive the BISP KAFALAT Stipend, you become automatically eligible for the Ramzan Nigehbaan package. They also check your poverty means test and it must below 30 or 32 if you want to become eligible for the Ramzan package.
Who is not eligible?
If you are a Government employees and your grade is 17 or above, you are not qualified for the Ramzan. If you are receiving the high pension then you may not be qualified for the Ramzan package.
The taxpayers who are the active tax filers are not eligible for the Ramzan nigaban package.
If one of your family member is Overseas Traveller than you are not qualified for this scheme also.
The car owners who have their own vehicles are also excluded in this scheme.
How to apply for Ramzan package?
The process of Ramzan Nigahban package has become very simple and easy. if you have a just smart phone or not, you can apply online.

- Visit the official site for the Ramzan package.
- Create an account on clicking the register button and you must have to enter your authentic mobile number or 13 digits CNIC number. Keep in mind that your CNIC number and your mobile number must be register in your own name.
- After putting your detail, you will get the 4 or 6 digit OTP code through your mobile number and you will have to enter on this website to make sure that it is you.
- After Proving that it is you, you also have to fill the survey form in which you have to write the complete detail about your monthly income, your family size, your electricity bill and gas bill.
- Then confirm your all the details and submit your form and you will also get a conformation message on your mobile number.
